The Director of Engineering will manage, support and provide direction and leadership to Team Leaders. Candidate must possess a history of strong leadership, deep practical engineering knowledge and a proven track record for timely project delivery, project management, cost control and customer satisfaction. This successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and will interface closely with the firm Partnership, Finance, Marketing and Operations department. The desired individual is someone who will bring knowledge and creativity to the position as well as have the discipline to drive results and follow established fundamental processes.
Candidate will be measured on all levels of responsibility including profitability, sales, and business development. He/she will establish long and short range goals and objectives for their region for business development, growth, revenue, sales and individual employee achievements. Minimum qualifications include 15+ years of engineering experience including 10 years of management experience. PE, LEED AP or CCP is required.

Ideal candidates will have at least eight years of engineering experience, including five years of management experience. Will be responsible for managing his/her team as well as their financial performance while also taking part in client management and business development. Must possess proven track record and excellent customer relation skills, be innovative, an excellent coach/mentor, capable presenter and have strong financial and analytical skills. PE, LEED AP or CCP a plus.
The Engineering Manager (Electrical) is responsible for the management and execution of multiple projects and resources. Responsibilities include the design, construction, operations and maintenance or commissioning of over 250,000 square feet of projects. Must maintain client relationships while also supporting the engineering manager in the training and mentoring of team members. Ideal candidates will have least 7 years of experience in engineering related positions including previous project engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with high voltage switch gear, UPS, ATS, emergency generators and data centers. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and PE are required.
A Senior Engineer is a degreed Mechanical/Electrical engineer with 10+ years of professional experience. Responsibilities include leadership and guidance to support the growth and development of other engineering staff members; provide high-level client maintenance to ensure existing and new clients that the quality of the services delivered are closely examined; and work with executive management, directors, team leaders/ engineering managers to develop and ensure standards are maintained, specifically in the areas of quality assurance and training. Must be able to support company revenue targets by leading or supporting existing projects as assigned and support company sales initiatives as requested by the Director of Engineering. Masters degree required, PE and LEED AP preferred.

Applicant preferences will be someone that has achieved their EIT or their CEM certification.
Project Engineer/Energy Analyst
A Project Engineer/Energy Analyst is responsible for the planning and execution of multiple projects and resources as well as retro-commissioning and energy auditing of over 100,000 sf. Must have 3-5 years of experience working with mechanical equipment and systems such as absorbers, chillers, boilers, air ventilation balancing systems and other optimization techniques. Experience performing energy calculations and analysis using basic utility billing information and energy modeling programs such as Portfolio Manager, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, Loadsoft, Degree-day modeling analysis required. Applicant preferences will be someone that has achieved their EIT or their CEM certification. LEEP AP also preferred.
A Field Engineer is responsible for the delivery and execution of our professional services tasks. The qualified candidate must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 1 year of professional experience employed in a staff or intern position in the construction industry. The applicant must have general knowledge of most of the following topics: steam management and distribution systems, pumps, fans, motors, fluid dynamics, heat absorbers, chillers, boilers, air ventilation balancing systems, VAV, Fan Design and other optimization techniques. This candidate must be working for their EIT in the near future and any other Certification that comes with the gaining experience. Trade association participation a plus.
The Building Enclosure Engineer is responsible for the planning and execution of multiple projects and resources. Responsibilities include consulting, testing and commissioning of building enclosure systems. Other functions include maintaining relations with existing clients, managing budgets, supporting the development of company standards relating to enclosure consulting and commissioning. The qualified candidate must have a BS in Architecture/Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a related position (3 years with enclosure systems) including previous project management experience. Professional certifications such as RA, LEED AP or other related certifications preferred.
A Proposal Coordinator compiles materials for proposals, ensuring the client’s requirements are fully met. This involves fully comprehending Request for Proposal/Qualifications (RFP/RFQ) requirements and assembling proposal packages that meet the RFP/RFQ requests. This could involve writing tailored responses and completing various forms. Produces presentations and work products for interviews/business development. Conducts general research for potential leads/new projects. Proofreads, edits and standardizes proposal text for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension and style. Participates in special marketing projects as needed. A Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, English or related Business degree required. Two years experience with writing proposals in the AEC industry preferred.
The Project Coordinator Assistant reports to the Project Coordinator Supervisor and works as an intermediary with the Operations and Engineering groups. Responsible for updating project contract and client information in Vision project management and CRM modules, project set-up, logging of submittals, assist with follow-up on invoices and A/R, packaging invoices, answering and routing calls and other tasks as assigned.
The Business Development Coordinator reports to the Proposal Manager and works as an intermediary with the Marketing and Engineering groups; reviewing and sending out listings of potential project leads for each HEA regional office, assist Engineering Managers in determining project contacts when not readily available or making calls on Engineering Managers behalf to introduce HEA to prospective clients.
