Demand a Higher Standard℠
The University of Michigan Health System's massive new C.S. Mott Children's and Women’s Hospital is needed to meet increasing patient demand and accommodate future research, education, and clinical care innovations. The facility will enhance the inpatient and outpatient services within the current hospital, the world-renowned Michigan Congenital Heart Center, the Birth Center, and the Holden Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The new facility will span the length of two football fields. It will consist of two conjoined towers, including a 9-story clinic tower and a 12-story inpatient tower that will bridge inpatient and outpatient services within the same disciplines. This will create a programmatic approach to patient care on each floor. HEA is the commissioning authority and LEED consultant for the entire project.
