The LEED Gold certified Integrated Athletic Center at Haverford College has received a 2006 Award of Merit by Mid-Atlantic Construction Magazine and a 2007 Architectural Showcase award by Athletic Business Magazine. The facility includes a dramatic lobby area focused on interactive exhibits and historic displays, a 1,200-seat arena with three courts, and a variety of other recreational, treatment, and support spaces.
HEA's scope included commissioning services for the LEED EA Prerequisite 1 and EA Credit 3, as well as LEED documentation services. The firm performed a number of related tasks including a review and audit of the project manual and drawings. The firm then provided a detailed report on the findings relative to the LEED process, a list of deficiencies, a recovery plan, and an independent audit assessment.
