Demand a Higher Standard℠
Built in 1913, the University of Michigan's Hill Auditorium is known world-wide for its excellent acoustics. The expansion and renovation work completed in this comprehensive project received national recognition by the American Institute of Architects with a 2005 Honor Award for Architecture. The project replaced most of the plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical distribution systems, provided air conditioning, and introduced a new sprinkler system.
HEA identified $72,452 in cost savings for the client through a substantial reduction in energy inefficiencies. The firm's specific duties included design review, commissioning plan and specification, pre-functional/functional inspection sheets, facilitation of testing procedures, a training regiment, and review of all O&M manuals and as-built documentation.
