Project Spotlight: Manhattan Supreme Court, Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) Implementation

The New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) contracted HEA to provide existing building commissioning services for the Manhattan Supreme Court ECM Implementation project in New York, NY. Services being provided include the commissioning of the following systems: electrical, demand control ventilation, chillers, condenser water pumps, cooling tower, and HVAC sensors and controls.

When first contracted for this project, what did the client express as the main goal/most pressing need for our services to accomplish?

Since my involvement in this project, the most pressing need for HEA has been in the air handling unit controls upgrade. Since each unit has numerous sensors and equipment that are being upgraded, keeping track of the issues that arose and their solutions has proven to be a challenge and the service most needed from HEA.
